Project Pink Blue, an NGO, is seeking partnership with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to help create awareness in the fight against cancer in the country.
The Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr Runcie Chidebe, made the disclosure on Monday in Abuja in a statement.
According to him, not less than 30 Nigerian women die daily from breast cancer.
He said that media involvement will create awareness to provide care and help more cancer patients.
He also said that prostate cancer has been killing some Nigerian men daily, even though it was preventable when detected early.
Chidebe noted that the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, would address the Nigerian World Cancer Day news conference in 2018, as well as launch the Medical Oncology Training Programme.
He added that the programme was funded by the US Embassy in Nigeria.
He, therefore, called for more awareness through the partnership with NAN to mitigate cancer burden.
